Sunday, May 19th, 2024 08:27 pmThere was a bright red bird in the garden this afternoon. Didn't have the head peak I associate with cardinals but can't think what else it might be.
NNDs mowed their dandelion field this morning. I should take the strimmer out to my half of the yard but don't know if the extension cords will even reach that far, since there are no outlets in the bunker. Have been trimming the ivy from the front path instead when my very ouchy elbows permit.
Friday rained but I went out in the evening to the LCBO and got vodka spritzers, in spite of cherry blossoms gunking up the rollator's wheels. Got more today because mildly drunk strikes me as the best way to spend a long weekend. Also stops the elbows from complaining.
We're getting into summer weather-- mid20sC/ mid 70sF-- and I must soon put together that fan I bought last year, which I've held off on because putting together the fan 2? 3?years ago was so traumatic *and also* because the box is a convenient size to put stuff on in the downstairs front room. But even so.
