Off the Cliff

It took someone else saying it but yes, this is in fact the dark quarter of the year. Days get shorter. I never quite thought of it in those terms, is all. But even so, and even getting up at 11:30 after going back to sleep after the 8:15 pee break (and in spite of telling myself 'only two hours') I got a wash on the line by 1 which dried in the available four hours of sun. So go me, I suppose.

Loblaws does indeed now have vodka coolers as well as cider. At least it doesn't have vodka to top up the coolers with. But Saturday Fiesta had an outdoors stall pushing beer, and I would be very happy if Fiesta also started carrying alcohol in addition to its wide selection of (very pricey let me say) dealcoholized wines.
