Maybe cat-youma sensed the presence of the puppet in the area, that had been specially geared to attract it, so went into the house where the puppet was intending to transfer when the cat body died? But why the puppet was there in the first place still puzzles me-- unless the puppet was only in the kekkai world and not the real neighbour's house at all.
