Mr Tidhar, I'm delighted that your steampunk has a female protagonist from Dahomey, characters from all over, and more crossovers/ RPF than Anno Dracula. (I may be mad, but *did* he work Fullmetal Alchemist into that one?) I would be even more delighted if your female protagonist didn't have the manners of an American action hero (threat-and-intimidation as a way of saying hello or requesting aid with one's inquiries), the habits of an American action hero (shoot first, forget the questions completely), and the obsessions of an American action hero (flashing her gun in public, fondling her gun in public, and sleeping with her gun in private.)

Lose the American action hero and maybe we'll talk.
