(Have to test-drive this new screen thingy.)

Henh. So I nearly went out tonight. Bicycling past a midtown church saw they had some Consort playing Dowland's Book of Ayres this evening. Hmm, I thought, interesting, I should go since I never go out these days, hope they have some vocals with it cause Elizabethan lute music alone bores me almost as much as Baroque harpsichord music. Returned home discovered a Higuri You dj I'd promised to translate for someone, did, and in the wake of that as I was making myself a sandwich suddenly thought Dowland. Mr. Boredom himself. Forget that- Campion is *my* man.

So I shall stay in. And either watch Onmyouji or continue deciphering A Hundred Ghosts Travelling By Night. You may guess which.

Having just watched Onmyouji this week, I vote you relax and watch (rewatch?) it instead of deciphering. ^_^

Onmyouji, definitely.

I think only the second video is subtitled, so there still will be some deciphering. I agree with the rest of the gallery and say "Relax and let the ying-yang master do his ying-yang thing."

Deciphering indeed. I was doing fine until I got to Aone's long speech about what happened 150 years ago. Now I have a headache starting from the mental squinting. Back to the ocular version of same...

I missed most of the first movie because I fell right to sleep. The second one and it's handy English at the bottom helped out a bit. I do like the actors who play the two main guys though, even if I have a difficult time understanding what everyone is saying. I tried watching the TV miniseries that came out a few years ago, but that was also pretty slow, even with the cute male idol playing the apprentice. (If you're interested in checking out the TV series too, let me know. It's four tapes long, I think.)

I wish Masahiro or whatever his name is wasn't quite so dorky though. 'Close your mouth, Michael, we are not a codfish.' I saw a very grainy tape of the first eps which was yes, slow, and totally incomprehensible. I agree with M that *this* Seimei is the only one who really looks like a kitsune's child.
